This chart is part of a memory system for learning the key people, events, topics, and verses of all 929 Old Testament chapters.

INTRODUCTION
Written by Moses, Deuteronomy is a series of farewell speeches delivered to Israel on the plains of Moab before entering the promised land. The name means “second law,” as the book restates the Law given at Sinai. It calls Israel to covenant faithfulness, urging them to love and obey the Lord from the heart. Deuteronomy emphasizes blessings for obedience, curses for disobedience, and God’s continuing faithfulness. It was likely written shortly before Moses’ death, around 1406 bc.
