- Ponder the joys awaiting you in heaven if you return (Psalm 16:11; Revelation 21–22).
- Think of the warm welcome that awaits from church members (Acts 21:17).
- Consider what a return means—come all the way back (be an active part of the congregation, participate in worship, attend all services, use your time and talents for Jesus) (Luke 14:28–32; 15:21–27).
- Make a firm decision to return to the next church service (better yet, call the number on the front right now) and do not allow yourself to back out (Luke 9:62). We are praying for this, and for you.
- Follow through by repenting of sins (Acts 8:22), confessing them (Revelation 3:17–18), and praying with the church about them (James 5:16).
- Rejoice in forgiveness! (Acts 8:39). Forgive yourself; God has (Hebrews 8:12). Forget all past sins (Philippians 3:12–14).
- Live the abundant life (John 10:10).
