As one who does not celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday,
it is difficult for me to advise you on how to conduct a Christmas
drama.
I think the scripture you are thinking about is Deuteronomy 22:5,
"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither
shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are
abomination unto the LORD thy God." KJV
This is an Old Testament prohibition and does not necessarily apply
today. I believe there is a principle involved that is carried over
into the New Testament, particularly 1 Corinthians 7.
You are probably wondering why I do not celebrate Christmas as a
religious holiday. The reason is this -- there is not one word in
the New Testament that gives any indication as to the month or day
that Jesus was born. Additionally, there is no religious authority
to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The New Testament authorizes me to
remember Jesus' death each first day of the week through the
observance of the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:18-34; Acts 20:7).
This is the event God wants us to remember.
