There is no biblical prohibition against cremation. Cremation is
simply one way to dispose of a corpse. It differs in no way from
being embalmed and placed in an airtight vault, or being buried
without preservation in a pine box.
Another consideration is Paul’s statement in 1 Corinthians 13:3,
“And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I
give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me
nothing.”
God will raise all bodies from the dead in the last day (John
5:28-29; 1 Corinthians15:51-53; Revelations 20:12-13). Most of these
bodies will long since have returned to the dust from whence they
came
(Genesis 3:19; Ecclesiastes 12:7). Every person who died in the sea,
in a fire, by being eaten of wild animals, etc, will be raised.
Cremation does nothing to negate the power of God to raise the dead.
