Bible question

What does "He that is unjust in the least is also unjust in much" in Luke 16:10 mean?

Topic(s):  Bible Study

"He that is unjust in the least is also unjust in much" means that one who can not be trusted in small matters certainly cannot be trusted in big ones.

A person who will lie about an unimportant matter will lie about an important one. A person who would cheat the government in a small thing would certainly cheat them in a large one.

You see the principle. We must be careful to be faithful and honest in ALL things, even those that seem insignificant or unimportant.

If you ever catch a person in a lie, how likely are you to be suspicious of their testimony later on? However, if you know a person tells the truth all the time, even when it is to his own detriment, can likely be trusted in all matters.
