Bible question

Is the angel of Revelation 14 a reference to Joseph Smith?

Topic(s): Denominationalism

Concerning the angel of Revelation 14, it is most certainly not Joseph Smith. I am not familiar with the Mormon claim that this angel refers to Joseph Smith. I do know that Galatians 1:6-9 says that anyone, including an angel from heaven, who preaches any other Gospel than that preached by Paul and received by the Galatians is to be accursed.

According to Hebrews 8-10, the new covenant was ushered in with the ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It is the perfect (complete and without error) law of liberty (James 1:25). It is not to be added to nor taken from (Revelation 22:18-19). Joseph Smith's Book of Mormon claims to be another testament of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon fall under the condemnation of God in Galatians 1:6-9.
