Topic(s): Prayer
Todd Clippard
First, a small child doesn't need the armor of God. The armor of
God is taken to oneself to withstand the fiery darts of the devil.
The armor of God in Ephesians 6 is to be "put on" (v 11) and not
"prayed on." It is to be taken to oneself (v 13) of one's own free
will.
Prayer is something one is to do after putting on the armor
of God (v 18). Prayer is to be made on behalf of the sick or
distressed, or to make our requests known to God (Acts 12:5;
Philippians 4:6-7; Colossians 4:2; James 5:13-16)
