The Bible does not speak of "cavemen" in the evolutionary sense
(i.e. Neanderthals, etc). However, if you'd like to use a little
humor, you can tell someone that Lot was God's first "caveman."
Following the destruction of Sodom, Gomorrah, and the cities of the
plain, the Bible says Lot dwelt in a cave near Zoar (Genesis 19:30).
Other cave stories of note include:
Abraham burying Sarah in a cave (Genesis 23:19);
Five kings were found hid in a cave in Joshua 10:17;
David escaped the Philistines by fleeing to the caves of Adullam (1
Samuel 22:1);
David cut off Saul's skirt in a cave in 1 Samuel 24;
Obadiah hid 100 prophets by 50's in caves (1 Kings 18).
Many cultures of men have made their homes in caves. This does not
make them dull-witted ape-like creatures.
