Did Adam ever ask God for forgiveness after his sin in the garden?

As best I can tell, there is no reference to Adam ever finding favor with God after his sin in the garden. Also, most post-Genesis references to Adam, particularly those in the New Testament, are negative in nature as they link Adam with his sin and the subsequent problems created by the same (death - Romans 5:12-14; etc).
