Bible question

Is it Scriptural to be an organ donor?

I don't see any biblical injunction, particularly in the New Testament, that would prohibit organ donation.  Neither do I see any principle of scripture that might be violated by the same.

In the last day, God will raise the bodies of all who ever lived (Job 19:25-27; Dan 12:2; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor 15:50-54; Rev 20:12-13).  Most of these bodies will have long since returned to dust (Gen 3:19). Some will have been lost at sea (Rev 20:13).  Others will have been consumed by fish or other animals.  But God is all-powerful, and is able to overcome any "obstacles" of a bodily resurrection.

I have made the authorization to be an organ donor, and I encourage others to do the same.  Who knows?  Perhaps with my eyes someone will read the Bible for the first time, and come to understand the wonderful story of Jesus and obey the gospel.  Maybe my heart, lungs, or other organs will prolong someone's life long enough for them to hear and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ.  One can never know the measure or extent that such a gift may provide.
